| Since I got back from tour I've been taking it easy on the booking front. I didn't schedule any shows through the end of the year so I can concentrate on writing and recording a few new things, and I've come to the conclusion that I'm not going to release another album in the traditional sense of the word. Instead, I'm thinking about releasing my new material as singles in 2010. The idea is to release a song a month. By the end of the year it will add up to an album's worth of songs, but released one at a time. I know some of you are thinking that I've jumped on the bandwagon to pronounce that "the album is dead". It's not, and I don't believe that it is. But I'm curious to see what will happen if I experiment with another model. What do you think? |

I think that many artists do this these days because more fans are becoming impatient with new album release. And since singles are faster than an entire album, it's a way to satisfy the impatient fans. That is just my opinion though...Good luck!

| This is true. . .there is a level of impatience for sure. On the flip side, I think it can allow artists to be more experimental without putting an entire album at stake. You're just investing in one song at a time. |

I don't think it is dead but somehow there is some sort of recreating albums that will suit the tastes of generation today.
